Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me,
I once was lost, but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.

'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved.
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed.

Through many dangers, toils and snares,
I have already come.
'Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.

An original poem by Doris McCubbin

Lord help me through another day

A trying day indeed

Give me the courage and the faith

O God and the strength I need

To face each day’s new worry

To walk this lonesome road

To go through life’s work without hurry

To carry this heavy load

Lord help me face my problems

And help me be able to cope

With all of life’s big “let-downs”

God don’t let me give up hope

That someday life will be easier

And that though others are untrue

I’ll make it through this nightmare

As long as I have you

I’ll talk with you tomorrow, Lord

And I know that you’ll be there

I know I can count on you O God

To love me, to always care.
